Last week was a particularly eventful period for Türkiye's finance sector.

In light of the package announced on 24 April under the “Türkiye Century Strong Centre for Investment” program, Law No. 7582, published in the Official Gazette dated 4 June 2026, introduced significant amendments across tax, investment incentives, start-up financing and the Istanbul Financial Centre regime.

The Capital Markets Board (“SPK”) also published, in Bulletin No. 2026/35 dated 5 June, a new Principle Decision on the methodology for calculating the “actual free-float ratio”, with potential effects on Borsa Istanbul (“BIST”) index eligibility and liquidity dynamics.
