About

Emre is a founding partner of UKAS Partners. His practice spans dispute resolution, international arbitration, and construction disputes, as well as mergers and acquisitions (M&A), banking and finance—positioning him as an effective advisor in both transactional and contentious matters.

In the field of international arbitration, Emre has acted in ICSID and ICC proceedings, with a particular focus on construction disputes arising from FIDIC contracts. He has taken an active role in developing arbitration strategy, preparing written submissions, managing procedural stages, and participating throughout the hearing and decision-making phases. He has extensive experience in high-profile disputes involving states and private-sector actors.

On the transactional side, Emre advises on large-scale M&A transactions, financing and refinancing processes, creditor relationships, and corporate restructurings. He also provides ongoing legal support in IPO processes, capital markets matters, and projects involving fintech and technology companies, as well as ESG compliance initiatives.

Emre’s integrated approach—evaluating dispute resolution and transactional work together—enables him to address complex commercial and investment relationships from both a risk management and value preservation perspective.

Earlier in his career, Emre was involved in development- and impact-oriented work extending beyond traditional legal practice, gaining direct exposure to sustainable development, public policy, and impact investment dynamics. This experience has equipped him with a multidisciplinary perspective, allowing him to assess investments not only in terms of legal risk but also through social, economic, and governance dimensions—particularly in projects involving public authorities, where a holistic and strategic advisory approach is essential.
